The laser gently yet effectively breaks down the molecules of pigment (or ink in body tattoos), into tiny fragments. The body then naturally disperses the tiny fragments from the area over a period of around 6-8 weeks.
The feeling is a little bit like an elastic band being flicked against your skin.
It is not as intense as a traditional laser removal machine which requires a cold air stream to relieve the sensation!
If you’re concerned or nervous in any way, we can provide an ice-pack prior to treatment which can be used at any point during the process. However, please be assured this is a very quick treatment, taking less than one minute per brow.
The amount of treatment sessions depends on several factors:
- Whether it is ink or pigment
- The colour of the ink or pigment
- How deep the tattoo is implanted in the skin
- How long the tattoo has been in the skin
- Skin type
- How well your body heals (everyone is different)
Usually brows can be lightened or removed in 1-2 sessions. Body art can take anything up to 6 sessions. A treatment plan will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
The laser we use is very gentle and scarring is extremely rare.
A patch test is always performed at least 7 days prior to any treatment to ensure your skin will respond well with no adverse reaction.
Yes you can! In fact, we offer a full RESET & RENEW package for those who want to remove their brows and start over, using the most recent techniques, tools and pigments in the industry.
Whether it be permanent makeup or body art, the area must be fully healed before any more work can be done over the top. The minimum time for this is 8 weeks, but if you can wait 12 weeks that’s even better as the body could still be removing pigment from within up to this point.
